Organic Nutritional Yeast

Bio-Engevita® is the organic addition to the premium nutritional yeast brand Engevita®. Nutritional yeast has been used for a long time for its flavor, functional and nutritional properties. All these benefits are now also available in organic form in Bio-Engevita®.

Bio-Engevita® is grown on certified organic materials from plant origin by a careful and long fermentation. The yeast is then separated from the substrate, inactivated and roller-dried. The whole process is monitored closely and certified organic under the EU regulation.

Triple Benfits: Flavor, Texture and Nutitional

Bio-Engevita® has a savory, bready, nutty flavor and is available in different toasting grades. It is designed to be used in organic seasonings, vegetarian and vegan food, meat products or just as is to sprinkle on salads or muesli.

The waterbinding and emulsifying properties of inactive yeast as nutritional yeast is also called are beneficial in various foods such as soups, sauces and vegetarian spreads.

Organic Yeast contains minimum 30% of high quality proteins. Bio-Engevita® scores also as a source of B vitamins such as folate and a high content of dietary fibers.
